SOM-921F62: Post-Medieval seal top spoon stem
Description
English: A fragment from the stem of a copper alloy Post-Medieval seal top spoon. Only the end of the stem survives. This is decorated with a raised circumferential band, followed by a section containing a symetrical, raised, foliate design, followed by a second raised band, then a thicker, rounded, ridged band and finally a flat undecorated 'seal top'. Probably of later 16th or 17th century date (Moore 2005, pp.7-9). Length: 35.79mm, Diameter of seal top: 13.43mm, Weight: 7.63g
