Title
SOM-4EE557: Post-Medieval commemorative medal
Description
English: Copper alloy commemorative medal of Post-Medieval date. The obverse shows a bust with flowing hair facing left and the reverse a standing and a seated figure above an inscription. Unfortunately the finer detail is not clear as the medal is very worn. It is similar in design to the French style, Neuremberg 'show jettons' shown in Mitchiner (1988, pp.508-17), which date to between 1674 and 1702. Diameter: 33.16mm, Thickness: 2.21mm Weight: 11.43g
