De afgelopen paar dagen was ik in Zuid-Frankrijk, voor persoonlijke redenen. In deze tijd kon ik een paar keer tijd vrijmaken om te spotten. In Nîmes was het vooral verpaupering en achterstand dat op mij overkwam. De Franse spoorwegen hebben decennialang alle aandacht gelegd op de TGV, en daarmee kwam de rest van het netwerk in de vergetelheid. Sinds enkele jaren gaat het beter met de regionale treinen, maar het is nog steeds niet veel soeps. Lege treinen die enkele keren per dag rijden en stoppen bij verpauperde stations, het is vooral in het zuiden de regel als het gaat om de regionale TER-treinen. Op een zonnige dinsdagmiddag komt een klein en bijna leeg treinstel aan als TER 877511 uit Alès in Nîmes, waar het perron afbrokkelt, de stationsklok stilstaat en de perronkap wegroest. Het enige wat nog van belang is hier is de TGV, die niet aan deze foto kon ontstappen. Als deze over enkele jaren uit Nîmes verdwijnt, ziet het er somber uit voor het spoor hier.. La rame X 73805, comme TER LD 877511 en provenance d'Alès, en gare de Nîmes. Les TGV en arrière-plan sonts à destination de Paris Gare de Lyon. |
