Description

Waar wij in Nederland al gestopt zijn met de inzet van dubbeldeksrijtuigen gekoppeld aan locomotieven (alhoewel het DD-AR binnenkort toch weer in dienst gaat), heeft men in Frankrijk nog een aantal soorten dubbeldeksrijtuigen in dienst, die je door heel Frankrijk kan vinden. De stammen van de regio Nord-Pas-de-Calais worden getrokken door BB 25500-locomotieven, die ondertussen al tegen de 40 jaar aan lopen. Ik vind het toch een prachtige combi, die helaas geen lang leven meer beschoren is: nu door heel Frankrijk nieuwe treinstellen in dienst komen raken een hoop locomotieven hun werk kwijt, en een aantal daarvan gaan dan naar het noorden toe om de BB 25500-locs te vervangen.

Tot zover de nabije toekomstmuziek. Tijdens mijn dagje naar Lille kwam ik zo'n combi tegen, als TER 843218 naar Lens. De reizigers zullen wel weer niet tevreden zijn geweest, maar ik was wel blij!
