DescriptionSMS Novara versions 1861 vs 1862 comparison.jpg |
English: Comparison of both versions of Novara's hulls. 1861 version is identical to 1856 refit for circumnavigation.
Photographs of the officially called 'refitting' were taken, according Aichelburg, on 1861-11-08 and 1862-04-20, respectively, in San Rocco. From "Novara 1850", just two ribs were kept. Mind, for instance, that there are 3 more gunports, later. Note that the machine newbuilt ship would only be installed after launch. |
