English: Military members of the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) look at the new U.S. Space Force seal unveiled during the celebration in the conclusion of SMC 2.0 to Full Operational Capability held in Gordon Conference Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., Jan. 30, 2020.
The celebration marks the completion of the largest transformation in SMC’s 65-year history in which the center has eliminated layers of bureaucracy, flattened the organization and put key decision-makers closer to their programs to speed decision making and more rapidly deliver capabilities to the warfighter and the world. The Tenants of SMC 2.0 which are E.P.I.C. (Enterprise, Partnership, Innovation and Culture) Speed will continue in the newly re-architected structure. |
