Description

Two U.S. Navy Sikorsky SH-3H Sea Kings (BuNo 149701, 149712) from Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 15 (HS-15) "Red Lions" take off from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68). HS-15 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 8 (CVW-8) aboard the Nimitz for her shakedown cruise to the North Atlantic from 16 July to 24 September 1975.

Note that HS-15 used the tail code "AH" of CVW-16, although the wing had been disestablished on 30 June 1971.
