Description
Deutsch: Übergang von der Von-Roll- auf die Strub-Zahnstange in der Ruckhalde, dem letzten Zahnstangenabschnitt der Strecke St. Gallen–Appenzell der Appenzeller Bahnen (AB). Bei der Strub-Zahnstange rechts im Bild ist deutlich zu erkennen, dass die Zahnstange aus einem Schienenprofil gefräst wurde.
Bei der Sanierung des Streckenabschnitts im Jahr 1980 hatte die damalige Eigentümerin, die St. Gallen-Gais-Appenzell-Altstätten-Bahn (SGA), Schwierigkeiten bei der Beschaffung der geeigneten Zahnstangen. Die Strub-Zahnstangen stammten als Occasion von der Bergbahn Luchon–Superbagnères. Auf dem obersten Abschnitt wurden auf einer Länge von 234 Meter neue Zahnstangen vom Typ Von Roll eingebaut.
