Description
English: A lozenge shaped seal box with lid and base intact and hinged via double pin bar lugs on the base; copper alloy pin and single pin bar lug on lid; the base has notches for the cord at the widest points of the lozenge, the end furthest from the pin bar lugs has an integrally cast terminal knop; the base is perforated by four circular apertures set in a lozenge shape. The lid also has an integrally cast terminal knop, and is decorated with a central band of 5 square cells in a line, at either end of which is a smaller sub-triangular cell; the cells are enamelled in alternate colours (red and indeterminate), this central row of cells is further decorated by two heart/lyre shaped raised copper-alloy mouldings, one at each end of the box - pointed ends outwards
