Description
English: This is because of the ferry being sunk on 7 August, 1945 by the swift river. Vehicles were forced to remain on the north bank while American Engineers and some Liaison personnel, pressed into service, raised and repaired the ferry. Many of the 1st and 8th Army vehicles were also held up on the north bank for several days.
