Description
English: The ferry at [censored] this point sank when a towing cable snapped on Aug 7, 1945, and troops used this narrow 600 ft. catwalk to cross the river while vehicles of the 1st, 8th and 54th Chinese Armies had to wait while American engineers and some liaison personnel repaired the ferry. 9 August, 1945.
