English: Trial runs with a modified IC2000 coach to test the new tilt mechanism. It is supposed to prevent double-deck coaches from tilting outwards (and thus exceeding the loading gauge) in curves with insufficient superelevation for the desired speeds. The ultimate goal is to build double-deck trains that can run on unmodified track at higher speeds. Between Thalheim-Altikon and Ossingen.
Deutsch: Testfahrten mit einem modifizierten IC2000-Wagen für die neue Wankkompensation. Diese soll verhindern, dass sich Doppelstockwagen in Kurven mit ungenügender Überhöhung nach aussen neigen und das Lichtraumprofil überschreiten. So können Doppelstockzüge gebaut werden, welche konventionelle Strecken mit höherer Geschwindigkeit befahren können. Zwischen Thalheim-Altikon und Ossingen. |
