Summary
[edit]DescriptionSBB Derailing Points (7632054886).jpg |
English: Such a railway switch to nowhere can be seen rarely. Mostly the red derailer is used, we also call a derailing shoe. They protect sidings which open into the main running line. In our country a similar switch was used during World War II in cross-border railways, to stop Hitler's armor trains, which he had used already to attack other countries. This was, for example the case in St. Margrethen. Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, July 23, 2012. |
