| Description |
The time has come. A new residential complex will be built. Part of the old warehouses from 1888 is demolished. But not the historic <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/kecko/49006409656/">wine cellar</a>. This will only follow at a later stage, which could take years. Youngsters had often devastated the abandoned warehouses. Recently there was even an attempt of arson. One of the buildings should be the former entry hall from station Rorschach, which was converted into a warehouse in Buchs. Which of them is not known. Below a newer building from 1966 there is a bunker of the SBB company protection organisation BSO. This is also demolished. I was able to take a few photos and a video before it is cleared out. The facility is about the same size as the one in Sargans. Photos of the old SBB Cargo service center building in the same area I will upload separately. Switzerland, Aug 10, 2021.
