Description SAS DC-8-62. On 1967-11-04 SAS opened the Trans-Asian Express shortcut to Bangkok and Singapore, reducing northern Europe-Southeast Asia travel time to 12 hours. SAS ground unit was already on hand at Yuzhny Airport, Tashkent TAS, when DC-8-62 arrived on proving flight
