[edit]DescriptionSA330J BGS 1985-2.jpg |
English: An air-to-air view of an Aerospatiale SA.330J Puma helicopter operated by the West German Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS, border patrol). The castle in the background is "Burg Hanstein", which was (then) located on an extreme tip of East Germany (German Democratic Republic), with the German-German border running between the Puma helicopter and the castle. After the German unification in 1990 this part of Germany became (again) the State of Thüringen (Thuringia). In 2005 the BGS was renamed "Bundespolizei" (Federal Police). |
