VS-38 was assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 59 (CVSG-59) aboard the Bennington for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 7 January 25 July 1962. The Royal Australian Navy destroyer HMAS Voyager (D04) is visible in the background. |
