Description A U.S. Navy Grumman S-2E Tracker (BuNo 152829) of Anti-Submarine Squadron 33 (VS-33) "Screwbirds" flies over the snorkel of a friendly submerged submarine during a training exercise in February 1970. Note extended "MAD" boom. VS-33 was assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 59 (CVSG-59) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CVS-12) before the carrier was decommissioned in June 1970. Later in 1970, CVSG-59 was reassigned to USS Ticonderoga (CVS-14).
The S-2E 152829 was later to the Argentine Navy.
