Description A U.S. Navy Grumman S-2E Tracker (BuNo 152798) of Anti-Submarine Squadron 31 (VS-31) "Topcats" is hoisted aboard the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) from the pier at Naval Air Station Quonset Point, Rhode Island (USA), on 30 September 1969. The plane's pilot was Lieutenant Junior Grade Jerome Philip "Lash" Lareau, USN (U.S. Naval Academy class of 1967). VS-31 was assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 52 (CVSG-52) aboard the Intrepid for a deployment to the Caribbean from October to November 1969.
