Description
Deutsch: Blick vom Fuß der Stauberenkanzel auf den Sämtisersee. Er ist wie der Fälensee und der Seealpsee ein See im Kanton Appenzell Innerrhoden im Alpsteinmassiv. Auf der rechten Bildhälfte sieht man den Hohen Kasten (1'795 m ü.M.). Über dem bewaldeten Hang in der Bildmitte befindet sich die Alp Sigel. Darüber erstreckt sich mit knapp 20 ha die national bedeutende Trockenweide gleichen Namens.
Français : Vue du pied de la Stauberenkanzel sur le lac, le Sämtisersee, dans le massif de l'Alpstein. Sur la moitié droite de l'image, on voit le Hoher Kasten (1 795 m d'altitude). Au-dessus du versant boisé au centre de l'image se trouve l'Alp Sigel. Au-dessus, le pâturage sec du même nom, d'importance nationale, s'étend sur près de 20 ha.
English: View from the foot of the Stauberenkanzel to Lake Sämtis in the Alpstein massif. On the right half of the picture you can see the Hoher Kasten (1,795 m above sea level). Above the wooded slope in the centre of the picture is the Alp Sigel. Above it stretches the nationally important dry pasture of the same name, covering almost 20 ha.
