Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Ryde Bridge connects Church Street Ryde (in the North) and Concord Road, Rhodes, NSW in the (South). The Bridge crosses the Parramatta River. This view is looking South East through the bridge to Mortlake. Rhodes is on the right. A River Cat ferry has just passed under the bridge. There is a much newer bridge built just east of this bridge to double the capacity of the road to 6 lanes. The bridge pictured originally had a counterweighted lifting mechanism, but the concrete block weights have been removed.
