| Description |
English: Rutland Water from Mowmires Reach. The Limnological tower can just be seen on the left of the photograph. Limnology is the study of lakes so I presume this tower is used for sampling the water. The road from Normanton to Whitwell used to cross the Gwash Valley at this point. Most of this square is water; the only piece of land is in the SE corner. http://www.anglianwaterleisure.co.uk/index.php?sectionid=53&parentid=47 |
