Summary
[edit]DescriptionRuler - Plastic INCHES (2606645148).jpg |
This end of the plastic ruler has Inches marked on the 'Imperial" or 'English' side of the ruler. However, the label "Inches" is not next to the first number for inches. It is near to the 16th-, 8th-, and half-inch markings, making it ambiguous for anyone just learning to read a ruler. This is not trivial! I have had many, many 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who are confused by these types of markings. |
