This substantial ruin lies in a wooded valley next to Phoside Farm at SK037859 - as well as the main mill building the remnants of a small dam, and the piers that formerly supported a trough channelling water to the top of the presumably overshot wheel, remain (the top of one of the piers can be seen at the bottom of this photo). |

This mill was in fact powered by an undershot mill wheel. The stone pillars leading from the millpond were built in the 1920's to support a pipe to supply a privately owned water powered electricity generator.
