Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Ruined house and Park Wall Looking down into the valley of the Thornhope Beck. The Park Wall is part of the impressive perimeter wall, 15 Km long (now partly replaced by a fence) which encircles Wolsingham Park Moor. The Moor (this side of the wall in this photo) was for many centuries an extra-parochial territory which formed part of the hunting grounds of the Prince-Bishops of Durham.
