[edit]DescriptionRuin at Palmetto, Nevada ghost town, 2006 (49753849003).jpg |
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palmetto,_Nevada Palmetto was a short-lived silver mining camp in Esmeralda County, along Nevada route 3, about 8 mi E of the Calif state line. This building appears to be the most substantial ruin remaining at the site. More info: www.ghosttowns.com/states/nv/palmetto.html Original photo is by Mark Holloway, who was from from Beatty, Nevada. His account at Flickr has (sadly) been deleted. I've adjusted levels, but please credit him if you reuse his photo -- which I like a lot. License is per his original Flickr post. |
