This is Hety and Henk's rugged RV, certainly the envy of many an onlooker. We happend across it in the supermarket parking lot in Whitehorse in June 26th. By August 24, 2014, they were in Sault Ste Marie and posted the following on Hetty Vollenbroek's web site.

After 24,000 Kilometers: Pause We have in Sault Ste Marie at our new friends Fern and Marilyn (see report by the end of May) the car a good cleaning. Henk all wheels removed and certainly found ten pounds of clay the Dempster Highway under the car. He then discovered also that one of the tires was torn, a tear of about 30 mm long and 15 mm deep in the tread. Fortunately, we have spare tires with us, so that problem is solved immediately. He also found an incipient leakage in the diesel line. This is caused by this leadership chafed against the high pressure line of winches. So you should always be careful but again and check everything, this is clear again. Fortunately I have a very observant man who has everything under control and that feels good. Fern and Marilyn are very welcoming and we can stay in their guest house, where we like to use. Delicious, even in the shower and at night to the toilet without having to crawl over Henk go. We have always been planning to insert somewhere in the middle of our journey a short break. Six months is a long time away, and sometimes there are just things you want or need to do at home, there on the other side of the Atlantic. Then we will continue our journey. Now is it so far: I have booked a flight to the Netherlands for next Friday. So now we amble towards Toronto to fly Friday. When we are in Toronto, we have 24,000 kilometers driven since we arrived in Canada. Crazy idea, to be next week at home. Netherlands, here we come ...
