Español: Ignacio Diego, presidente del Partido Popular de Cantabria, quien compareció hoy en rueda de prensa junto a la senadora Leticia Díaz y el alcalde de Cillorigo, Jesús Cuevas, destacó que una iniciativa de su formación política haya dado lugar a que nuestra comunidad autónoma y en concreto la comarca de Liébana a través del municipio de Cillorigo, sea la sede del primer Museo de la Montaña de España.
En su opinión, "esto tiene una trascendencia social y, sin ninguna duda, una trascendencia económica para la región y muy particularmente para la comarca lebaniega", ya que se consigue "recuperar el patrimonio cultural e histórico de este deporte, se conseguirá conservar un ingente legado que en estos momentos se encuentra disperso y en manos de particulares, y por último servirá para transmitir en el presente y en el futuro los importantes valores que en la formación de la persona tiene todo deporte y muy singularmente el deporte del alpinismo y de la montaña". |
