Description iconographique:

Rue de Rivoli, 1er arrondissement. Paysage urbain. Vue en perspective de la rue. A droite, grille du jardin des Tuileries, personnages sur le trottoir, réverbères. A gauche, immeubles avec arcades, voiture et vélo sur la chaussée. Commentaire historique:

La rue de Rivoli a été perçée de 1800 à 1835. Les immeubles qui la bordent furent construits par Percier et Fontaine. Il fut alors précisé queleurs façades uniformes et à arcades ne devraient pas porter de pancartes ou d'enseignes. (J.Hillairet, Dictionnaire Historique des Rues de Paris, (1985), ed.de Minuit)
