Description
Français : "La Grande Guerre, Lille — Aspect de la rue des Ponts de Comines et de la rue Faidherbe après le bombardement 1914-15".

L'intitulé de la carte postale est en partie erroné : La rue Faidherbe* est visible à gauche en direction de la gare et un peu moins à droite de la photo en direction de la place du Théâtre. La photo a été prise dans la rue des Ponts de Comines qui se prolonge plus loin après le croisement. Nous sommes ici devant une scène se déroulant en 1914. On peut apercevoir, le Grand Hôtel, 22-24 rue Faidherbe, à l'angle de droite au fond et caché par le rang d'immeubles ; Édifice reconstruit après la Grande Guerre, actuel Monoprix.
