Item 78079, City Light Glass Lantern Slides (Record Series 1204-03), Seattle Municipal Archives. English: Ruby Inn, 1926. The Ruby Inn stood near the junction of Ruby Creek and the Skagit River in Washington state, U.S. The area, near Cascade Pass, was the site of an 1878-1880 gold rush. Caption for the slide said "SEATTLE MUNICIPAL LIGHT AND POWER PLANT. Ruby Inn at the junction of Ruby Creek and Skagit River. 14 miles by trail above Gorge intake, and about one mile above Ruby Dam." Ruby Dam is now known as Ross Dam. |
