Rubel Castle sits on the old Needham/Glidden/Albourne Rancho property in Glendora. Built from the ground up by Michael Rubel, the project took nearly twenty years. Michael built forts during his childhood: some of them forty feet high. He started building with concrete in 1968 and did not stop until he achieved his dream of having a weight-driven Seth Thomas clock in his own tower, with bronze bells.
