Description |
Condoms have been used in various forms for hundreds of years. They are one way to practice safe sex and reduce the risk of catching sexually transmitted infections such as HIV, gonorrhea, syphilis and chlamydia. These rubber teat-ended condoms come individually wrapped in the original carton. They were manufactured in Britain by the Society for Constructive Birth Control, known as the ‘CBC’. They were supplied by the Mother’s Clinic. This was founded by birth control advocate Dr Marie Stopes (1880-1958). maker: The Mother's Clinics of the Society and Clinic for Constructive Birth Control and Racial Progress Place made: United Kingdom Wellcome Images |
