Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Royal Street at downtown river corner St. Peter Street, French Quarter, New Orleans, 1937 or 1938. Cropped detail to show street signage. The signs for "Royal" and "St. Peter" streets are illegible in the shadows, only recognizable as old style street signs from comparison to others. Of interest however is the sign at upper right, "St. Peter Street, Square 44", which would predate the 1894/95 street address renumbering.
