Description
English: During a busy deployment 42 CDO RM have completed all task set before them during their winter deployment. With 400 personnel trained up to standard with their novice ski survival course and their artic warfare course the Commando then moved onto Company live firing, which involved Milan, Law 94, Mortars, Heavy Machine Guns, Section/ Troop / Company Attacks all at Setermone ranges. With this week over the Commando moved to new training areas for Company and Commando FTX. After a well-earned R & R weekend the NATO exercises. Exercise Joint Winter commenced. After four days K, M & HQ Company's along with an element of Support Company moved onto HMS INVINCIBLE for the journey to Scotland for Exercise Tartan Relief at RAF Lossimouth. This was a 48-hour Neo (non-combatant evacuation operation). Pictured here. 81mm Mortar fires at night form the back of an BV206. The green streak accross the sky is the northern light.
