This photograph taken in the fall of 1883 shows the award winning members of the Royal Hawaiian Band (RHB) in San Francisco where they had traveled under the direction of bandmaster Henry Berger to compete in the “Triennial Conclave of the Knights Templar Brass Band Contest”.
