English: Royal Academy of Music Viewed across Marylebone Road this building was purpose-built for the Academy in 1911, replacing an older building in Tenterden Street. The Royal Academy of Music had been founded in 1822 by Lord Burghersh and was granted a Royal Charter by King George IV in 1830. In 1999 the conservatoire became a full member of the University of London. The Academy's website is here http://www.royalacademyofmusic.ac.uk/Pages/default.aspx |
