Summary
[edit]| Description | Cool. Stationplein In the original design brief one thing was paramount, the new Central Station should have a properly-functioning public transport terminal with adequate space for the growing number of users. The old station had been too small for years. The much larger hall and wide pedestrian tunnel are therefore very important parts of the building. Besides this functionality Central Station has also been given a metropolitan makeover with the building and the new Station square flowing into each other. It has been designed as a whole. Arch. Adriaan Geuze, Benthem Crouwel Architekten, MVSA Architects and West 8 Urban Design & Landscape Architecture 2005-14. |
