Dye stirred in to the rotating fluid, which demonstrates the two-dimensionality of this motion and visualizes the Taylor-Proudman theorem

Summary

Description
English: The fragment of dye stirring during rotational motion is demonstrated in the photo. We see beautiful streaks of dye that are drawn in the horizontal motion of the liquid. This is a demonstration of the two-dimensional motion that a fluid during rotation. On our planet, all the phenomena that occur in the liquid, to some extent associated with rotation. Rotation is a necessary factor for large-scale circulation in the atmosphere and ocean. Theoretically, this effect was first predicted by Joseph Proudman, and later experimentally confirmed by Sir Geoffrey Taylor.
