English: PICNIC AT ROSSLYN BAY
The Yeppoon and District Lawn Tennis Association's picnic, which was held at Rosslyn Bay on Sunday last, attracted a large crowd. Visitors were greatly impressed with the view to be obtained from the top of bluff Point. A sports programme, which took place in the afternoon, created considerable interest. The tug-of-war between Bungundarra and Grange teams lasted more than 20 minutes before Bungundarra secured a victory. In the ladies' tug-of-war the married ladies defeated the single ladies by 2 to 1. In the 100 yards' championship H. Hollingsworth was leading the field, but within five yards of the winning post he tripped and fell, and F. Mortensen won.
