Description
English: Roskilde Thing- and Jailhouse.
The building was erected in 1878 as court (left part) and jail (right part) for the city of Roskilde and it's surrounding area.
Today the court is used for preliminary examinations and the jail houses 25 inmates.
To the right of the building the new police station for Mid- and West Zealand, which was inaugurated October 2007, can be seen vaguely.

Bygning blev opført i 1878 som domstol (venstre del) og fængsel (højre del) for byen Roskilde og dens opland.
I dag anvendes retten til grundlovsforhør og fængslet huser 25 indsatte.
Til højre for bygningen kan den nye politigård for Midt- og Vestsjælland, der blev taget i brug i oktober 2007, skimtes.
