Description
Deutsch: Fragment einer (warscheinlich) Ofenplatte mit mit der Darstellung des Ölwunders des Elias. Die Darstellung basiert auf nachfolgender Legende: Der Prophet Elija kehrt bei einer Witwe ein, die ihre letzte Ration Mehl und Öl zubereitet. Er wird bewirtet und durch den göttlichen Segen erneuert sich der Vorrat kontinuierlich. Während Elijas bei der Witwe verweilt, stirbt ihr Sohn. Wie durch ein Wunder, gelingt Elijas seine Auferweckung von den Toten. Auch die bildliche Darstellung auf der Platte nimmt zu diesen Sachverhalten Bezug. Löhnberg, Ende 16. Jh.
