Notes Un pastel portant le même titre (L’ange exilé) a été présenté par Rosalie Thévenin au Salon de 1853 (numéro 1104 du livret) accompagné de paroles tirées de la chanson L'Ange exilé du chansonnier Pierre-Jean de Béranger : " .......... il fut des anges révoltés. / Dieu sur leur front fait tomber sa parole, / Et dans l’abîme ils sont précipités. / Doux, mais fragile, un seul, dans leur ruine, / Contre ses maux garde un puissant secours ; / Il reste armé de sa lyre divine... "
