The Maitland Mercury and Hunter River General Advertiser (NSW) Tue 23 Nov 1875 Page 2 Blondin's Feat on board the Poonah. On Poonah's first voyage to Calcutta, after. the completion of the alterations and improvements which have been made in her, and at at 5 o'clock in the afternoon of the 19th October, when the ship was between Aden and Galle, Blondín announced that he was ready to try the feat of walking on the tight rope in a seaway, and under-took to walk from the main to the mizzen mast.
