English: Roofless relics of an industrial past The old quarryside buildings have been silent since the 1930s when the last shipment of crushed granite, destined for use in road-making, was transported out of the nearby harbour at Porthgain. This one stands on the edge of PenTop slate quarry. The industrial development of the area can be roughly translated as:
