| Description |
English: Roof boss, St Pancras Church, Widecombe-in-the-Moor The Green Man is an archetypal figure who has taken many guises in legend as long as tales have been told. He represents our relationship with the world of nature and crops and in particular the regeneration of plants each spring after the apparent death of winter. In many tales and rituals the Green Man dies and later comes back to life. |
