Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Rood Screen panels in St. Peter's Church This church has a beautifully panelled rood screen with figures of the 12 saints thereon. All of the faces were scratched out by the Puritans. One apparently wrote "The screen hath the Twelve Apostles, their faces rubbed out by a godly trooper from Hobbies" (This was a nearby village of Hautbois). Depicted here are James the Less, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, John the Baptist and Peter.
