Title
Romano-British copper alloy strap slide
Description
English: Enamelled copper alloy strap slide. The strap slide is square, openwork and has a rectangular loop on the reverse. The square frame is D-shaped in cross-section and the loop is circular in cross-section. Within the square frame is a decorative trumpet-spiral motif with a solid dome in the centre. The dome has a small circular depression in the centre with four outward pointing triangluar cells radiating from it. A small circular cell is located between each triangle. Three of the four triangular cells contain red enamel; the final one is missing all traces. The four circular cells alternate with red and blue enamel.
