English:

Three sherds of Roman pot from three individual vessels. All sherds are highly abraded and were found in garden soil. They are as follows:

1. Body sherd from a small to medium sized grey ware vessel with four rows of linear indentations as decoration, aligned vertically with the side of the vessel. Suggested date AD 100-400. Weight 4.1 grams

2. Body sherd from a small to medium sized grey ware vessel, no decoration visible. 8.4 grams.

3. Fragment of the rim of an Oxfordshire Whiteware mortaria. Linear socres on the underside of teh rim are finish marks rather than purposeful decoration. This ware was produced at potteries across the county from the second to fourth centuries AD. 24.9 grams.
