English: An incomplete cast copper alloy bow brooch. A devolved trumpet type (group B). At the head are two short wings housing the axis bar for the hinged pin. The expanded head of the pin is still present. At the top of the head is the integral chain loop with a narrow plate at the base. The plate is decorated with two horizontal grooves. The loop has a circular hole. The head is a stylised trumpet shape and tapers into the D sectioned upper part of the bow. At the mid point of the bow is an expanded knop decorated with waisted mouldings comprising three horizontal bands. Flanking the moldings is a simple ridge top and bottom. The back of the knop is concave. From this tapers the triangular sectioned leg of the bow. At the base is a short cylindrical foot decorated with a horizontal groove.
